He has provided strategic and practical insights to the automation and web-enablement of Human Resource and Recruitment Process activities throughout Europe. Clients include Times 500 companies and software and services vendors in the Human Resources and e-commerce arenas. Whitford is a founding member of HR-XML Consortium European Chapter, serves on its 2004/2005 Board of Directors and heads up the marketing workgroup. He has recently completed a two year term as the first European based Advisory Board member of a leading company in the Talent Management Solutions space. He is a founding member of the UK Online Recruitment Marketing Council (ORMC). A frequent participant and chair of European conference programmes, Alan chaired and was one of the originators of the totaljobs.com Internet Recruitment series, which educated more than 9,500 participants in 4 years. Alan has been published in a number of on-line and off-line media covering technical and strategic HR and Recruitment issues. Whitford has written the first ever UK Guide to Online Recruitment for the leading HR publication, Personnel Today and penned the totaljobs.com Handbook For E-Recruitment, which will be published during 2005. |
