Participated in a team of 3 individuals bringing external expertise to Project Pride, a 16 month HR transformation project.  The Pride team included HR and business management leaders from Head Office, Grosvenor Casinos, Mecca Bingo and Rank Interactive.  Led the Social Media, Web Development, Metrics and Talent Pool teams. Contributed to the Employment Value team.  Overall project resulted in delivering a complete End to End Employment process and experience, including 4 recruitment microsites, 4 onboarding portals, group wide talent community and a unique social media recruitment strategy centred on Facebook.

Manufacturer and Retailer

Change transformation project.  Brainstorm complete recruitment process for head office, domestic and international requirements. Complete workflows and implement state of the art SaaS based Candidate Management System, including portals for external candidates, internal candidates (tied to employee referral programmes) and agency candidate submissions.


Nortel Networks

Telecommunications Manufacturing and Services Company - UK and Europe

Advise on restructuring of pan-European resourcing department.  Develop structure for partnerships with 3rd party recruitment services vendors.  Review technology platform.  Advise on Web strategy for recruitment.  Implement staff assessment programme.  Develop Mentoring Programme for European Director which led to his promotion to VP European HR Services.

Led the selection of a web based recruitment management system.  Managed the full implementation and training of staff based throughout Europe.  Integrate to new career site.


The Guardian

Media and Publishing Firm 

Company wanted to rebuild its internet job board offering in 2005, with new services and approach.  Identified 8 potential vendors.  Developed the RFP and evaluation documents and process.  Involved in final evaluation and recommendation. Successfully recommended the vendor.  Ran the same project again in 2007/8 as the company launched its 2nd generation job board.


Astra Zeneca

Global Top Five Pharmaceutical Firm

Company required  a new web based recruitment software solution.  Identified the potential providers of the solutions.  Developed the RFP (request for proposal) and the subsequent evaluation documents.  Led the evaluation team.  Successfully recommended the vendor.


Parc Group

Irish Recruitment Services Company

£100m turnover company with recruitment operations in Ireland, UK and AsiaPac.  Led strategy review to expand its Recruitment Process Outsourcing business.  Led IT strategy process, including development of the RFP, vendor identification and selection for a comprehensive web-based front and back office technology solution,  Involved in all change management issues to ensure new business success.



Recruitment Consultancy

Brought in as a business strategy consultant by the CEO of Strategic Sales Options, an Irish management consulting organisation specialising in the sales industry.  Created a business strategy to launch a recruitment business aligned to the sales consulting operation. Managed the technology vendor selection process and led the web and workflow design project.

Euro RSCG Riley - Euro RSCG Engage

UK Digital Media and Technology Division

One of four founding partners of a new digital technology and recruitment services division for the UK's 3rd largest Recruitment Advertising Business.  Developed business strategy, identified technology partners and negotiated long term product licensing deals.  Created seminar partnership programme with market leaders to promote the new business and drive customer leads into the main agency business.



Talent Network Start-up

Reported directly to the CEO, Jason Goldberg. Determined product fit with local European market requirements for candidate referral programmes and identified the key product functionality specifications for change prior to an initial European launch. Provided assistance in the initial development of the Jobster, Inc. business in Europe, comprising: Marketplace Intelligence, strategic planning and thinking, partnerships/third party relationships and product/service direction and content.  


Classified Solutions Holdings

Web 2.0 Job Portal Business 

Joined with 5 other entrepreneurial company leaders to build a ‘next generation' internet recruitment portal, utilising sophisticated CV parsing, database matching and interactive mapping technologies.  Beta launched the job board into the Dutch marketplace. Developed a ‘white label' technology sales concept.



Global Talent Management Solutions Vendor - USA and Europe

Advisory Board Member

Served two year term as a member of the company Advisory Board.  Projects to determine global expansion strategy and product direction, particularly in Europe.  Led formation of European User Group. Led negotiations with potential product channel partners in Europe.

Job Board 

Examine European marketplace for Internet job services. Work with Management Board to develop company strategic policies and product direction. Developed and chaired UK wide seminar educational series, with 80 events held and over 7,500 delegates educated. Led strategic development meetings with Top 15 media/advertising companies. Led joint venture strategy with European job board partner.

Evaluate existing product and technology offering.  Identify and recommend technology partners.  Facilitate purchase of Virtual Village/Intellicruit and its web-based recruitment technology.

Marketplace review for US based provider of recruitment and employee assessment tools and products.  Recommended serviced offices and start up with 5 initial employees.  Conducted search and selection for Sales Director, sales and support staff.
